Dr. Barb’s family life includes her husband, Greg, daughter Johannah, their family dog, Lucy and cats, Coco and Lexi. Dr. Barb enjoys golfing, yoga, skiing and taking Lucy for long walks.
Dr. Barbara Moore began her professional career in a research firm in Boston, MA. It was not until she was 28 that she decided to follow her true passion, pediatric dentistry. Dr. Barb, as all of her patients call her, moved back to her hometown, Buffalo, NY and enrolled in the University of Buffalo’s School of Dental Medicine where she graduated Cum Laude in 1995. Dr. Barb went on to complete her Pediatric Residency at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 1997 and a dental fellowship there in 1998.
In 1998 Dr. Barb became the Director of the Mobile Dental Unit of Chautauqua County, which aims to provide dental care to all children regardless of income and opportunity. Dr. Barb served as the Director until 2013. Service to her community and surrounding areas has always been a passion of Dr. Barb’s. She is an avid animal lover (especially to her black Lab, Lucy) and strives to maintain an eco-friendly lifestyle.
Dr. Barb and her staff specialize in children’s oral health have advanced dental education and experience in child behavior. Dr. Barb has dedicated her practice to the diagnosis and treatment of children, including those with special needs. Dr. Moore and her team know how to treat your child. Her first priority is to put her young patients at ease. Guided by body language, facial expressions and words (if the child can verbally communicate), she assesses who needs extra time to adjust to the surroundings.
